AS A FRESHMAN IN 2009: Ran in four out of six events in her first season as a Triton… Finished 23rd overall in her first collegiate race with a final time of 17:20.4… Took 56th at the Southern Indiana Pre-National Invite, crossing the finish line in 25:57.84.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2009 graduate of Pioneer High School in San Jose, Calif.… Was a team captain on her cross country team in 2008 and led the squad to the state meet… Earned all-league honors as a senior… Personal best in the 5k was 20:19 and 20:10 in the three mile… Was a three-time team MVP on the track team… Led PHS to league title in 2008… Also competed with Class One Soccer Club from 2001-07.

PERSONAL: Born December 31, 1990… Parents are James and Jennifer Sarge… Both parents attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo… Has a younger brother named Matthew… When she’s not running she enjoys eating frozen yogurt and enjoying the beautiful La Jolla weather…  Is an International Studies major in Marshall College… Wants to pursue a career working in international law.
