HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Foothill High School in Pleasanton, Calif. in 2009… Was an all league selection and CIF Scholar Athlete all four years… Named the team MVP as a sophomore and then again as a senior… Team captain as a junior and senior… Personal best of 16:06 in the 5k… Was also a four-year letterwinner on the track team… Trained with Pleasanton Heat Running Club throughout high school.
PERSONAL: Born September 1, 1990… Parents are Mark and Monica Yankowski… Has a younger brother named Jonathan… His interests include mountain biking, traveling, science, and volunteering in the community… Bernard Lagat is his favorite athlete… Is an undeclared major in Warren College… Wants to pursue a career in the medical field.
