HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Ruben S. Ayala High School in Chino Hills, Calif., where he was a four-time MVP and team captain of both the cross country and track teams… Was a two-time All-Sierra League honoree… Led the Bulldogs to a seventh place finish at the state cross country championships as a junior… Earned All-CIF Southern Section Division II accolades as a senior… Owns a personal best of 15:38 at the Mt. SAC course.
PERSONAL: Born April 14, 1992… Parents are Randall and Lori Wright… Has a twin sister named Heather who is on the cross country team at UC Irvine… Is a loyal fan of the L.A. Lakers and Angels… The Hangover is his favorite flick… In addition to running, he enjoys being with friends, listening to music, playing ultimate frisbee, going to the beach, and going to concerts… Becoming an All-CIF runner after leading his team to the Southern Section Finals is his top moment in sports… Is an undeclared major in Muir College… Plans to go to medical school to become a cardiologist.
