Biography
AS A JUNIOR IN 2007: Appeared in three events a year ago... kicked off her junior campaign with a 14th place finish at the UCSD-PLNU dual meet with a time of 16:36... was the 8th Triton to cross the finish line and 57th runner overall at the UC Irvine Invitational with a time of 19:56.60... had an impressive showing at the Bob Firman Invitational, notching a time of 19:53, good enough for 37th overall and second on the squad.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2006: Ran in five events for UCSD during the season... finished 83rd overall with a time of 20:40.2 at the UC Irvine Invitational... notched an 87th place finish and time of 24:53.7 at the Roy Griak Invitational... time of 25:42.5 at the Triton Classic was good enough for 64th overall... finished 38th at the CCAA Championships with a time of 25:31.4... competed at the NCAA Championships, finishing the race 148th with a time of 24:09.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2005: Raced in three events for the Tritons as a rookie... finished 18th in her first collegiate event, crossing the finish line in a time of 16:47.6 on the 2.5 mile UCSD par course... finished 64th at the UC Irvine Invitational with a time of 20:23.6 on the 5k course in Huntington Beach... finished 48th on the 6k par course at UCSD in a time of 24:33.0.
HIGH SCHOOL: Comes to UCSD from St. Lucy’s High School in Glendora, Calif., where she was an All-CIF honoree in cross country... helped lead team to the CIF Finals in 2003... two-time Team MVP... also competed in track and field and won the league championship four years in a row... was the league champ in the 800m... had personal bests of 2:22 in the 800m, 5:19 in the 1600m and 18:34 in the three mile.
PERSONAL: Born March 7, 1987... parents are Charles and Violet DiMascio... has a younger brother named Charlie... is an Economics major in Thurgood Marshall College... wants to go to graduate school and pursue a career in international business after UCSD... hobbies include traveling, reading, sports, and running... played club soccer with the LaVerne Lazers for five years.
