AS A JUNIOR IN 2007: Competed in six events last season, finishing in the top-60 in all but one... had one of his best finishes of the year in the dual meet with Point Loma Nazarene to start the year, crossing the line 11th overall with a time of 23:40.8... Was the third Triton to finish and placed 60th overall three weeks later at the Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo.... finished the year strong, coming in 21st overall, and 6th among all Tritons, with a mark of 26:11.0 at the CCAA Championships... was UCSD’s third-fastest finisher, 28th overall, at the West Regionals with a time of 32:01.13... Had a strong showing at the NCAA Championships as well, crossing the finish line second for the Tritons and 102nd overall at 32:58.5.  

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2006: Ran in five events during the season... was third among Tritons and 39th overall at the UC Irvine Invitational with a time of 26:17.8... finished 82nd overall with a time of 27:21.1 at the Roy Griak Invitational... completed the Triton Classic in a time of 27:07.7... was the second Triton to finish at the CCAA Championships, coming in at a time of 26:49.9, good for 15th overall and a spot on the All-CCAA team... finished up at the NCAA DII West Regionals with a time of 34:00.51 in 35th place... named cross country team’s Most Improved Runner.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2005: Competed in four events during second year on the La Jolla campus... posted a time of 23:33.8 in the season opening four mile race on August 27th... finished 82nd at the UC Irvine Invitational, running the five mile race in a time of 25:15.0... finished 69th with a time of 28:09.9 at the UCSD Triton Cross Country Classic... helped the Tritons to a third place finish at the CCAA Championships, crossing the finish line in a time of 27:40, finishing 37th overall.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate with honors from Los Gatos High School in Los Gatos, Calif... ran cross country and track for coach Tommy Newman... helped team to a DeAnza League championship as a senior and a fourth place finish as a junior... team finished fourth in the Central Coast Section as a senior and ninth as a junior... was an all-league performer as a junior and senior while also pulling down team Co-MVP honors as a senior... was the varsity captain as a junior and senior on the track squad... earned team MVP honors in track as a senior... received the State of California Assembly Scholastic Achievement Award for Academic Excellence in 2004... was a California Scholarship Federation Seal Bearer and a National Merit Finalist as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born December 31, 1985 in San Francisco, Calif... parents are John and Carol Geldman... has one older sister named Megan... majoring in Computer Engineering at Warren College on the UCSD campus... wants to pursue a masters in the field... enjoys cooking, watching movies, and reading in his spare time.
