AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2009: Ran in four events on the season… Posted her highest finish in UCSD’s opener, placing 30th with a time of 17:40.3… Finished 54th at the Southern Indiana Pre-National Invitational at 25:50.54… Time of 25:22.7 was good enough for 59th place in the UCSD Triton Classic.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2008: Competed in four events in her first season as a Triton… Finished 47th overall in the Open at the SDSU Aztec Invitational, completing the course in 22:23… Was the 60th runner to cross the finish line at the CSUSB Coyotes Invite, registering a final time of 27:40.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Julian High School in Julian, Calif.… A four-year letterwinner in cross country and track and field… Led her team to four consecutive league championships in track and to the cross country title as a junior… The team went on to win the CIF San Diego Section Championship… Was an all-league selection in 2005 and 2007… An All-CIF honoree, she qualified for the individual California State Meet… Holds a conference record in the 100m with a time of 13.14.

PERSONAL: Born August 29, 1989… Parents are Bill and Magda Beckman… Has three siblings named Christy, Luis, and Pablo… Her sister Christy was an All-American in cross country and track and field at UC Irvine… In her spare time she enjoys dancing, snowboarding, watching movies, and running… The Chargers are her favorite team… Is a Literature/Writing major at Roosevelt College… Plans to attend law school after graduation.
