AS A JUNIOR IN 2008: Injuries limited him to just two events all season… Had a promising start to the year, finishing fifth overall in UCSD’s opener against Point Loma and USD on Aug. 29… Clocked in with a time of 22:32.6… Also ran in the SRU Pre-National Invitational on Oct. 4, placing 42nd overall at 27:10.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007: Ran in all but one of UCSD’s meets on the year… Was named the Tritons Most Valuable Racer after finishing in the Triton’s top five six times on the season… Was the top overall finisher in the season-opening dual meet against Point Loma Nazarene with a time of 22:22.9… Crossed the finish line first  for the Tritons in three straight meets from Sept. 22 through Oct. 20… Led UCSD finishers and placed 17th overall at the Bob Firman Invational with a time of 26:05.33… Crossed line with a time of 33:50.5 in the 10k at the Triton Classic, finishing 7th overall and first among Tritons… Earned All-CCAA honors after placing 13th overall at the league championships with a mark of 25:40.70… that time was also tops among the UCSD men… Was the fourth Triton to finish and came in 30th overall with a time of 32:07.4 at the West Regionals, helping his squad grab the final berth in the NCAA Championships.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006: Raced in six of the Triton’s seven events on the year… Finished fourth overall at UCSD’s dual meet with Point Loma with a time of 22:58.4… Was the second Triton, and 41st overall, to complete the Aztec Invitational, finishing at 27:32… Finished the 21st Annual Roy Griak in a time of 28:21.1…  Finished 36th at the CCAA Championships with a time of 27:59.9… Finished 61st overall with a time of 35:05.28 during the NCAA DII West Regionals… Also competed for the UCSD track & field team during the season… Notched an NCAA provisional time of 1:51.60 in the 800m run at the Cal/Nevada Championships… Finished second in the 1500m race during the Triton’s second home event of the year… Was named one of the track and field team’s Most Valuable Athletes.

HIGH SCHOOL: Comes to UCSD from John Burroughs High School... Had personal bests of 51.7 in the 400m, 1:58.6 in the 800m and 4:27 in the 1600m.

PERSONAL: Born April 10, 1987... parents are Thomas and Pimchai Anderson… when he is not running he enjoys playing basketball, ultimate frisbee, or pictionary… also plays the guitar and ukulele… Roots for the Los Angeles Lakers… Lists Michael Jordan as his favorite athlete… The Illusionist is his favorite movie… His father was a pole vaulter at Cal State Northridge and his oldest brother Brian ran cross country and track for MIT… Is an Electrical Engineering major at Sixth College.
