Biography
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2004: Did not see action in any of the team’s meets during second season on La Jolla campus.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2003: During her first year on the UCSD campus, Stevens helped the Tritons to a second place finish at the Willamette Invitational with her time of 19:25.0 in the 5k race... concentrated her focus on the 3000m steeplechase during freshman year of track.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2003 graduate of Canyon High School in Canyon County, Calif... ran track and cross country for coaches Dave Delong and Paul Broneer... also lettered in basketball and soccer... was a four time team captain in cross country and track... helped team advance to the CIF finals in all four years after four straight Golden League Championships in cross country... was the league champion in the 3200m in 1999, 2001 and 2002... set personal bests of 5:06 in the 1600m, 11:05 in the 3200m, 2:20 in the 800m and 18:08 in the cross country meet held at Mt. San Antonio College... was a member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Born January 14, 1986 in Mission Hills, Calif... parents are Dan Stevens and Sue Stevens... has one younger sister named Cheryl... is a Pharmacological/Chemistry major at Revelle College... enjoys going to the beach, running, eating, sleeping and listening to music in her spare time.
