AS A FRESHMAN IN 2004: Ran in four of the team’s eight meets... finished 15th in her first career collegiate race, crossing the finish line in a time of 17:39.7 during the 5k dual meet with Point Loma... finished 96th at the UC Irvine Invitational, running the 5k event in a time of 21:54.5... crossed the finish line in a time of 20:06.55 which was good enough for 129th place out of 271 entrants at the Willamette Invite... had a 35th place finish in a time of 26:44.8 at the 6k UCSD Triton Invitational..

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of Ventura High School in Ventura, Calif... ran cross country and track for coach Bill Tokar... member of the 2003 CIF and State Cross Country Champions in 2003... team was the state runners-up in 2002... posted personal bests of 2:22.17 in the 800m, 5:27 in the 1600m, 20:40 in the 5k, 19:20 in the three mile and 61.7 in the 400m... was involved with her church youth group and taught swimming lessons... was a lifeguard and a youth swim team coach.

PERSONAL: Born August 4, 1986 in Los Angeles, Calif... parents are Dean Ryan and Leslie-Lynn Pawson... has two siblings named Alison and Shane... is a Ecology, Behavior & Evolutionary Biology major in Marshall College... enjoys running, swimming, surfing, horseback riding and photography in her spare time.
