AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR IN 2006: Earned two wins and a save in his first season at UCSD... earned a save on Feb. 8, pitching two innings and striking out two against Point Loma... earned a victory over Cal State L.A. on Mar. 12, pitching five innings, allowing just three hits and one run.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2005: Redshirted the 2005 season.

AT PALOMAR COLLEGE: Attended Palomar College for two seasons and the team won the Pacific Coast Conference Championship in 2003

HIGH SCHOOL: played baseball at San Marcos HS... team went 28-10 and was a member of the 2001 Avocado League Championship... advanced to the CIF semifinals in that same season.

PERSONAL: Born December 21, 1983... parents are Joseph and Joni Kearney... both parents attended Southern California schools with Joseph at USC and Joni at San Diego State... has one sibling named Melissa... is a Communications major in Muir College... enjoys music, reading and surfing.
