AT MOORPARK COLLEGE: Transfer from Moorpark College will play his first season for UCSD in 2005... member of the Moorpark College baseball team for the 2003 and 2004 seasons... team won the league championship in 2004 after finishing last in the previous year... also a member of the AAU Club baseball team that won the American Legion State Championship in 2002.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended El Camino Real HS in Woodland Hills, Calif... in 2002, the baseball team won the league title and was ranked first in the area and 17th in the nation... individual honors included being selected to the Bernie Milligan All-Star game, second-team all-league and a four-time scholar-athlete... member of the AAU 10-under National Baseball Championship team in 1994.

PERSONAL: Born October 30, 1984 in West Hills, Calif.... parents are Dave and Dayna Destler... has one sister, Deanne... his uncle, Steven Destler played baseball at Cal State L.A.... a Communications major in Marshall College... career goals include Sports and Public Relations.
