Dane Stankiewicz enters his third season as assistant coach with the UC San Diego baseball program in 2025. He works mainly with the infielders and hitters and also serves as the first base coach.Â

Prior to joining the Tritons, Stankiewicz served as an assistant at Saddleback College in 2022, helping the Bobcats to an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) title.Â

During his collegiate career, Stankiewicz played five seasons at Grand Canyon University as a middle infielder from 2017 to 2021, helping the Lopes to three Western Athletic Conference (WAC) championships. During his time in Phoenix, he earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management in 2020 and an M.A. in leadership in 2021.

A native of Gilbert, Ariz., Dane is the son of current USC head baseball coach Andy Stankiewicz and also has an older brother, Drew (triple A), older sister Marisa (softball coach at Park University in Gilbert, Ariz.) and younger sister Mia (current softball player at CSUN).
