Earned a personal-best time of 5 minutes, 22.43 seconds in the 1600-meter run to place 23rd overall at the Central Coast Section (CCS) Semi-Finals as a junior (2011) ... Placed sixth in personal-record time of 5:30.34 in the one mile at the St. Francis Invitational during her junior year (2011) ... Ran to personal-best performances for the Scots at the CCS Semi-Finals in both the 800 (2:23.60, 17th) and the 3200 (11:50.06, 20th) during her sophomore year (2010) ... Also ran cross country for the Scots.

Born May 11, 1995 in San Bruno ... Parents are Donna and Steve Okino, who are both graduates of UC Santa Barbara ... Has a younger brother named Alec ... Mother ran for UCSB and later competed in the first Olympic trials for the women's marathon ... Majors in psychology at Warren College ... Her most memorable moment competing occurred at the 2010 California State Meet ... "Real Steel" is her favorite movie ... Team she cheers for is the Oakland Raiders ... Likes to bake and play guitar ... Would eat pizza for the rest of her life if given the opportunity ... Aspires to one day become a genetic counselor or work with the mentally disabled after graduating from UC San Diego.
