US San Diego Agent Form and Policy
Agents seeking to represent UC San Diego scholar-athletes must comply fully with UC San Diego policies, NCAA Bylaws, California law, including but not limited to the Miller-Ayala Act (PDF), federal law, and the governing rules of applicable professional sports organizations. Please read the entirety of the Miller-Ayala Act (PDF), California's State law on athletic agents.
Under the Miller-Ayala Act, athlete agents must be registered with the state of California before representing or attempting to represent any athlete, professional or amateur, including scholar-athletes at UC San Diego. To register, agents must file an Athlete Agent Disclosure Statement with California's Secretary of State Office, by visiting the folllowing link: https://www.sos.ca.gov/business-programs/special-filings/forms.
Agents looking to speak with a UC San Diego scholar-athlete must also complete the Agent Registration Form (PDF) and return it to the Athletics Compliance Office (athleticscompliance@ucsd.edu) for approval. Proof of your California state registration must be presented to the Athletics Compliance Office with the completed Agent Registration Form.
