HIGH SCHOOL: Attended nearby La Costa Canyon HS... team went a combined 84-17 in three seasons, earning D-I championships in 2003 and 2004... hit at a .410 clip with 43 hits, five homeruns, 46 RBI and 21 walks... also had an on-base percentage of .508 and a slugging percentage of .667... earned the team’s Sportsmanship Award in 2003 and 2004... honors included first-team All-Avocado League, All-CIF and second-team All Union-Tribune... other playing experience with the Encinitas Reds.

PERSONAL: Born January 16, 1986... parents are Ryan and Ginny Scharbarth... father is a San Diego State graduate, while mother graduated from the University of San Diego... has two older sisters named Kathy and Melissa... an Economics major in Muir College... career goals include becoming a successful business man and entrepreneur.
