AS A JUNIOR IN 2007: Made two starts and pitched 35 innings in 20 total appearances... pitched 5.2 innings allowing two runs at Sonoma State... earned wins against Western Oregon, San Francisco State and Chico State... struck out four batters in the game at Sonoma State.

AT MISSION COLLEGE: Pitched over 140 innings in two years, earning all-conference honors in each season... pitched as a closer in his first season and a starter in his second year... top-50 in the state in both seasons (2.25 ERA and 3.13 ERA in each of his seasons).

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Homestead HS in Cupertino and was an all-league letter winner in football, basketball and baseball... the 2002 basketball team set the school record for most wins with 25 in 2002.

PERSONAL: Born December 2, 1984... parents are Tim and Diane Strombel... has two siblings named Chris and Kevin... a Communications major in Sixth College.
