AS A JUNIOR IN 2008-09: Notched the two lowest rounds of the
season for the Tritons, finishing with a second round score of 67
at the Western Washington Invitational and recording a second round 68 at the
Grand Canyon/Thunderbird Invite… Finished as UCSD's top individual during
four of the 12 events he took part in… Shot a season best
three-round total of 212 during the Grand Canyon/Thunderbird Invite with
rounds of 71, 68, and 73… Finished a UCSD season-best four-under on the par-72
course… Recorded the best final round score of the day with a one-under, 70 and
finished tied for fourth at the Point Loma/Smee Builders Invitational… Ranked
in the top 20 of the NCAA Division II Central/West Regional after a first round
three-over par, 74… Finished with rounds of 76 and 83 and in a tie for 71st
overall during the postseason tournament.
CYPRESS COLLEGE: Played two seasons at Cypress College, where he was named the team MVP... Helped team win the conference championship under head coach Dana Bedard as a sophomore... His low round was a 5-under par, 67.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of Downey High School in Downey, Calif.... Earned all-league honors as a junior and senior... Was a league all-scholar athlete during final three years of high school... Played club softball for the San Diego County Breakers U-18 Gold team in 2003, 2004 and 2005... Was a member of the National Honor Society and the California Scholarship Federation at DHS.
