AS A JUNIOR IN 2008: Made 11 starts and had his best game of the season with a 2-for-5, two doubles game against Chico State on April 11... went 5-for-15 in the series against Chico State... saw action at second base, shortstop and third base.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007: Recorded one hit in nine at-bats... recorded six assists and two putouts without an error... recorded his hit against Regis in a pinch-hit at-bat.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006: Had five multi-hit games during conference season... drove in three RBI against Chico State on March 27... converted on 6-of-10 opportunities when driving in a runner from third with less than two outs.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Ponderosa HS where he was a member of the baseball and basketball teams... baseball team finished second in the SVC in 2005 and co-conference champions in 2004... advanced to the Sac-Joaquin section playoffs in last two seasons... hit .328 during senior year while committing only three errors the entire season from the shortstop position... set a basketball school record with 58 three-point field goals during senior season... part of Legion club team that won a district tournament.

PERSONAL: Born December 8, 1986... parents are Larry and Linda Tanner... both attended Fresno State... has a younger sister named Sarah... is an Applied Mathematics major in Muir College... hobbies include weightlifting and music.
