AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR IN 2006: Played only four individual matches, going 3-1 overall... was 0-1 from the No. 5 position and 3-0 from the No. 6 spot... was 11-9 overall in doubles competition while teaming with four different partners during the course of the season... was 0-1 with Ramesh Thondapu and Kazumi Negishi in the No. 3 spot and 0-1 with Richard Sabo from the No. 2 spot... found greatest success as a team with Brent Molden, going a team-best 10-5 from the No.2 spot and 1-1 from the No. 1 spot.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2005: Did not see any time on the court during dual match play for the Tritons in his first year on the UCSD campus.

AT GROSSMONT COLLEGE: Transferred to UCSD from Grossmont College in El Cajon... finished second in the state his freshman year, and fourth his sophomore season... earned All-American honors and was a finalist in the singles portion at the Ojai Tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of Lincoln High School in Stockton, Calif... played tennis for Coach Paige... was the CIF State Champion for three consecutive years... also lettered in basketball while at Lincoln High School.

PERSONAL: Born December 17, 1983 in Stockton, Calif... mother is Maureen Oechel... has one older brother named Tom... is an Economics major at Muir College.
