LA JOLLA, Calif. — The UC San Diego men's golf team announced its 2026-27 competition schedule Tuesday.
The Tritons are slated to play in 10 tournaments leading up to the 2027 Big West Championship. The first four events take place during the team's fall season.Â
The team swings into its campaign at Colorado State's Ram Masters Invitational, which runs September 10-11 at the Fort Collins Country Club. It will mark the fourth time UC San Diego has played in the event. In 2025, senior
Davis McDowell topped the field with his 6-under score. Tritons placed fifth.
This week's tournament in Colorado can be followed with live scoring.
A second tournament in Colorado follows as the Falcon Invitational, hosted by the Air Force Academy, is slated for September 19-21 at Eisenhower Golf Club in Colorado Springs. It will be the fourth-consecutive season that the Tritons have competed in the tournament. In 2025, UC San Diego finished third in the 23-team field. McDowell was on his game again, taking fifth after shooting 7-under par.
Another familiar tourney, the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational, is up next, taking over Stockton Golf & Country Club October 12-14. Last season, UC San Diego placed fourth and
Justin Gill, now a senior, tied for fifth at 7-under.
The Tritons conclude their fall slate November 4-5 in Hawai'i at the Pearl at Kalauao Invitational. The University of Hawai'i serves as host on the title course in Aiea on the island of Oahu. The 2025 fall schedule also wrapped at this tournament with Triton
Nathan Tseng winning and the team finishing second of 18 teams.Â
The spring season begins with a new tournament for UC San Diego. February 22-24 the Tritons will be in Palm Desert, Calif., to take part in the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. The University of Wyoming will host at the Classic Club.
The Watney Invitational opens the month of March. Hosted by Fresno State, the tourney is set for March 1-2 at Sunnyside Country Club in Fresno, Calif. Last season the Tritons were strong at the tournament as McDowell placed second overall to pace UC San Diego to a third-place showing in the 14-team field. It will be the Tritons' fifth appearance at the Watney.
Home is where the cart is March 21-23 as the Tritons host their seventh annual UC San Diego Invitational at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla. They placed third this past March, their best finish at the event since moving to the ocean side course in 2023.
Rounding out the month of March, UC San Diego reunites with the University of Wyoming as it hosts its annual Cowboy Classic in Arizona March 29-30. It will be the first time that the Tritons have taken part in the tournament.Â
The Tritons return to familiar ground April 9-11 at the El Macero Classic. Hosted by UC Davis at El Macero Country Club, UC San Diego has been present at the event every year since 2022.
The final regular season tournament is another staple for the Tritons as they travel to the Redhawk Invitational, hosted by Seattle U April 19-20 at Chambers Bay in Washington State. UC San Diego has been a fixture at the tourney, playing every year since 2022. This past season, the Tritons placed third of 14 teams.
The Big West Championship is set for May 2-4 at La Quinta Country Club in La Quinta, Calif. The Tritons tied for fourth place among the 10-team field. This will be the final season in the Big West for the team as UC San Diego will become a member of the West Coast Conference on July 1, 2027.
