LA JOLLA, Calif. — UC San Diego (8-8) edged out Navy (14-13) 4-3 on Wednesday at the Northview Tennis Courts. UC San Diego secured the doubles point with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions and clinched the match with singles wins on No. 3, 5, and 6.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UC San Diego secured the doubles point with decisive wins on two courts.
Yaron Guberman and
Oliver Worth triumphed at No. 3 doubles with a commanding 6-0 victory. Meanwhile,
Trey Fourticq and
Trevor Nguyen completed a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles. The No. 1 doubles match with
Andrew Beceiro and
Prathinav Chunduru remained unfinished, concluding at 6-6 in the first set.

In singles action, the Tritons captured three matches. P. Chunduru delivered a strong performance at No. 3 singles, winning 7-5, 7-6(7), 6-2, playing the final court and clinching the match for the Tritons. Fourticq finished his match at No. 5 singles with a 6-1, 7-5 scoreline.
David Adamson rounded out the Tritons' singles victories with a 6-4, 6-4 result at No. 6 singles.

Keeping the match close, the Tritons faced setbacks in other singles matches. Worth fell 2-6, 0-6 at No. 1 singles, while Nguyen was defeated 4-6, 2-6 at No. 2 singles. Guberman at No. 4 singles, ended with a tight 3-6, 6-3, 2-6 score.
