An early three by Feiman in the second quarter, followed by a steal and score by Maxie pulled the Tritons within one, 19-18. Hawai'i built its lead back midway through the quarter, 23-18, but another three from Feiman sparked a 15-3 scoring run for the visitors. Hawai'i found success late in the quarter, putting together an 8-0 scoring run to make it 46-41 with under 20 second on the clock. QUOTABLE
"Obviously, very excited about a tremendous team win," said UC San Diego head coach Heidi VanDerveer. "I think that we came out with a lot of effort and energy, and played in a very tough environment. We had people step up and make big plays and got great contributions with four people in double figures. I thought we played with tremendous poise and weathered some of Hawai'i's runs to come away with a big road win in a very competitive Big West."
