PHOENIX – UC San Diego earned its first win of the spring Saturday morning with a 4-0 blanking of host Grand Canyon at the GCU Tennis Facility. The Tritons won the doubles point and took the first three singles matches to clinch the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UC San Diego earned the doubles point thanks to a decisive 6-1 victory by
Alisa Lansky and
Allison Lian at No. 2 followed by a hard-fought 7-6 win by
Olivia Allegre and
Julia Visaya on court one.
In singles play, the Tritons clinched the win thanks to straight-sets wins on courts five, six and three. Visaya won her first match as a Triton, 7-5, 6-0 at No. 5. Lian followed that up with a 6-2, 6-1 win on court six. With UC San Diego on top 3-0 in the match, captain
Hana Gamracy locked up the team victory with her 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 3.
