Tritons Fall at Altitude to NAU

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — UC San Diego men's tennis made the trip up to 7,000 feet of elevation for a road match at Northern Arizona on Sunday, with the Tritons (2-3) suffering a 4-0 defeat. NAU won a tight doubles point and matches at No. 1, 2 and 4 singles in straight sets.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Both doubles wins for NAU came by a one-break advantage. The Lumberjacks won 6-4 at No. 1 and 3 doubles. The matches resulted in No. 2 doubles going unfinished, where UC San Diego's Carson Lee and Diogo Tinoco were leading 6-5.

The Tritons fell behind early in singles, losing the first set in all six matches. NAU won on court four first before the top two courts finished to wrap up the dual match.

The remaining three matches went unfinished. UC San Diego's closest contests were at No. 3 and 5 singles. Both Pelayo Rodriguez and David Adamson lost set one 4-6.
