LA JOLLA, Calif. — UC San Diego men's water polo standout Bennett Axline added another accolade to his catalog Friday as he was named All-America Honorable Mention by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).

It marks the third-consecutive year that Axline, a senior utility player, has garnered the distinction.

A local San Diego product from Rancho Bernardo and Cathedral Catholic High School, Axline also earned his third-straight All-Big West selection in 2025 as he was named to the conference's first team.

Axline finished his Triton career with 185 goals over 116 games. He also racked up 274 drawn exclusions and 66 steals.

UC San Diego finished its 2025 campaign with a 21-10 record, the program's most wins since 2006. The Tritons advanced to the semifinal round at the Big West Championship. 

Axline is one of six Big West players to earn All-America nods from the ACWPC in 2025.
