In singles, Gamal picked up an impressive come-from-behind three set victory to account for UC San Diego's second point of the night and Nguyen picked up the win as well via forfeit. The visiting Lumberjacks won the remaining four singles matches to earn the 4-3 victory in La Jolla.

QUOTABLE
"We battled hard, but overall they out worked us in singles," said UC San Diego head coach Sebastian Bader. "I'm so proud of Grace and Kelly who both left everything out there, Grace got a great win at two and Kelly just falling short after a marathon match. Seniors helped us with great play in doubles but unfortunately went down in their singles matches. I wish we could have gotten the win today on senior day, but that's sports. I hope this team looks back at this season with a lot of good memories and is motivated to put a lot of hard work in over the next few months to be ready for a new season in the fall."
