HOW IT HAPPENED
Match One:
Returning to their home courts for the first time in February, the Tritons weren't able to get off to a quick start as they dropped two doubles matches as Pacific was able to to take the doubles point and the early lead.
UC San Diego then began the come back as the team reached singles action with key victories coming from
Carson Lee at the two spot in the lineup, as well as
Zach Pellouchoud getting a key win at number five. Pacific would then take the remaining three singles matches to earn the 5-2 road victory.
Match Two:
Starting fast looking to bounce back, the Tritons came out of the gates looking to win as they swept all three doubles matches for the first time this season as they took the early lead with a few unique pairings competing for UC San Diego.
Continuing the momentum into singles action, the Tritons swept all six singles matches as
Daniel Traxler,
Diogo Tinoco,
William Lan, Sanjeth Devineni,
Jett Cole and
Sahil Savasere each got the job done to help UC San Diego earn the 7-0 sweep for the team's first victory in 2024.
