Softball Adds Four Standouts to 2023-24 Roster

The University of California San Diego softball team will add four standout players to its roster for the 2023-24 season. 

The incoming class features three true freshmen along with a transfer. All four new Tritons hail from California.

Putting on the gold and blue are Jackie “Jack Jack” Tremper, India “Indy” Caldwell, Brooklyn Lee, and Alexis “Lexi” Ogorman.

UC San Diego will be entering their fourth and final season of NCAA Division I reclassification process this year and their fourth season as a member of the Big West. Triton conference play begins on March 16, 2024 at Triton Softball Field when they host Cal State Bakersfield for a three-game series.

Head coach Patti Gerckens is excited to welcome these new four to the roster and offers her thoughts on each below.

Plans to be commissioned as an aviation officer in the military upon graduation.

“India comes from one of the best junior colleges in the state and was their workhorse last season. She has a wide variety of pitches and spots them well. We are excited to have her join our team.”
