The University of California San Diego softball team will add six standout players to its roster for the 2022-23 season.
The incoming class features five true freshmen along with a transfer. Five of the six hail from California, while one is from Texas.
Joining the Tritons are Hannah Allen, Kayleigh Coberly, transfer Teagan Dobson, Georgia Heathcock, Lily Hermosillo, and Hailey Mulligan. The incoming squad brings a lot of power at the plate and diverse experience in the field with multiple utility players.
The blue and gold will be entering their third season of NCAA Division I and Big West Conference play this spring. The Tritons finished with a winning record at the end of the 2022 season and made their first NCAA DI postseason appearance at the NISC Tournament in Colorado.
Head coach Patti Gerckens is excited to welcome these new six to the roster and offers her thoughts on each below.
