RIVERSIDE, Calif.—UC San Diego baseball defeated UC Riverside, 11-3, on Friday evening at Riverside Sports Complex. With the win, the Tritons (32-18, 19-9 Big West) moved to 10-15 (7-2 in D-I) in the all-time series with the Highlanders (11-36, 5-20 Big West).

Crew Robinson had an impressive night at the plate, finishing 3-for-5 with two doubles, four RBI and two runs scored.
Emiliano Gonzalez went 2-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored, and
Noah Sudyka finished 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBI.

Starter
Ryan Forcucci went 4.0 innings, allowing one run on five hits with one walk and six strikeouts.
Ethan Holt (5-1) earned the victory out of the bullpen and
Izaak Martinez recorded his seventh save of the season with 3.0 scoreless innings to close out the contest, allowing one hit, no walks and striking out four.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Tritons got on the board early, scoring a run in the top of the first on an RBI ground-out by Kane. UC San Diego added to its lead with two runs in the second on a two-RBI triple by Sudyka to make it 3-0.

UC Riverside got its first run of contest with a solo home run in the bottom of the second to cut into the lead, 3-1.

UC San Diego responded right away in the top of the third, scoring three runs on three hits. Gonzalez brought in a run on an RBI double to right field and Robinson added two more with a two-RBI single to extend the lead, 6-1.

The Highlanders cut into the lead once again with two runs on three hits in the bottom of the sixth to make it 6-3.

UC San Diego's offense exploded in the top of the ninth, scoring five runs on four hits to ultimately build the winning 11-3 lead. Gonzalez hit a bases-loaded double to score two runs, followed by Robinson with another two-RBI double and
Jalen Smith capped off the inning with the third consecutive double to make it 11-3.
