A single from Clarissa Reynoso popped to right field allowed Aguirre to advance to third and once again put runners on the corners. Reynoso stole second, but the final two outs came stranding the two on base.

Riding the momentum from the previous inning, the Tritons hung three more runs on the board on a two out rally. Hailey Mulligan laced a single past the shortstop. The freshman then stole second with Eng at the plate. Eng the sent a single down the third base line to reach and advance Mulligan to third.

Notching her fourth steal, Eng stole second with Aguirre at the plate. On a full count, Aguirre powered a triple down the right field line to plate Mulligan and Eng, pushing the Tritons to a 3-0 lead. Taking advantage of a wild pitch by Harvard, Aguirre made it home to score.

The sixth inning was quiet for both teams, but in the seventh, UC San Diego solidified their lead with two more runs. Eng once again laced single on the first pitch she saw and stole second. With Keila Bosinger at the plate, Eng stole third for her sixth stolen base of the game.
