Tritons Fall to San Francisco in Non-Conference Affair

LA JOLLA, Calif. – The UC San Diego men's tennis team continued their non-conference play, bright and early, Thursday morning at the Northview Tennis Courts but were not able to clinch the win, falling to the University of San Francisco,  4-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Tritons fought a hard battle in doubles action but fell short with only one win with Sophomore Pelayo Rodriguez and Senior Phillip Lan taking the doubles match at No. 2, 6-2. Despite the slow start, the Tritons fought hard in singles but took losses at Nos. 1, 2, and 4, leaving Nos. 3 and 5 unfinished. Despite the tough competition, Charles Qian continued his singles winning streak with an impressive win at No. 6 against Junior Johan Garpered, 6-2 and 6-3.
