The Sun Devils took the doubles point thanks to victories in the second and third position. ASU's Chelsea Fontenel and Rachel Hanford were 6-0 winners at No. 3 and Sedona Gallagher and Giulia Morlet picked up a 6-1 win at the second position to give Arizona State a 1-0 lead in the match. Â

- Two doubles pairs made their Triton debut as newcomer Kelly Leung was paired with junior Ella Pachl at No. 1 and freshman Grace Gamal joined senior captain Sophie Pearson at No. 2.
- The sophomore doubles tandem of Naomi Nguyen and Katelyn Vu played at third doubles. That duo won eight matches as freshmen in 2022.
- The match marked UC San Diego's first against a Top 20 foe since moving to Division I prior to the 2021 season.
