HOW IT HAPPENED
After shuffling their doubles lineup in recent matches, the Tritons returned to fielding their strongest three pairings in the day's first action. Despite that, it was the Aggies who took the doubles point, winning on courts 1 and 2 to clinch it.
In singles play, Irvine wrapped up his UC San Diego career in style at No. 6, taking his team-leading eighth win in straight sets. Cole, a transfer from UC Santa Barbara, won at No. 5 to put a bow on his first season in La Jolla, but UC Davis earned wins on the top three courts to clinch the match victory. With Saturday's result, the Tritons and Aggies finish the season with identical Big West Conference records.
