LA JOLLA, Calif. – A total of 224 scholar-athletes from UC San Diego were named to the Big West Commissioner's Honor Roll for 2021, the conference announced today.
 
Across the conference, 2,095 scholar-athletes were honored for achieving an institutional cumulative GPA in one of the following three categories: Honor Roll (3.00-3.20), With Honors (3.21-3.50) and Highest Honors (3.51-4.00). To be eligible for the honor roll, scholar-athletes had to be on a team roster in a Big West Conference sport at the conclusion of the previous competition season and eligible for competition. The Faculty Athletics Representatives of each of the eleven institutions submitted their lists to the conference office.

About UC San Diego Athletics
After two decades as one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division II, the UC San Diego intercollegiate athletics program has begun a new era as a member of the Big West Conference in NCAA Division I. The 23-sport Tritons earned 30 team and nearly 150 individual national championships during its time in Divisions II and III and helped guide 1,400 scholar-athletes to All-America honors. A total of 83 Tritons have earned Academic All-America honors, while 38 have garnered prestigious NCAA Post Graduate Scholarships.
