Virtual Triton Mania to Welcome Back Students on Sept. 30

Event is key part of Triton Weeks of Welcome

LA JOLLA, Calif. – The UC San Diego Tritons look forward to welcoming all new students to campus during Triton Weeks of Welcome (TWOW) at the annual Triton Mania kickoff event on Wednesday, September 30.

Welcome Week, an annual tradition at UC San Diego, fosters Triton Spirit for both new and returning students. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Welcome Week has become Weeks of Welcome, and will take place in a virtual environment.

Triton Mania marks the official introduction for new students to learn traditions, meet the mascot, cheerleaders, dance team and Triton scholar-athletes. The program features giveaways, prizes, interactive contests, and other fun and exciting events. This year's virtual event will also provide an introduction to Triton Tide, UC San Diego Athletics' official student section.

This year's Virtual Triton Mania is open to all current UC San Diego students – both new and returning. Tritons must pre-register by visiting the Triton Mania sign-up page.
