HOW IT HAPPENED
On the No. 2 court, Neil Tengbumroong and Cody Duong were the first to finish in doubles, cruising to a 6-3 win over their Biola opponents. Sreeganesh Manoharan and Zach Ermert then clinched the doubles point for the Tritons on the No. 1 court, triumphing 6-4 over their Eagle counterparts.

The Eagles evened the score at the start of singles as Neil Tengbumroong was forced to retire with an ankle injury. Marius Ruh gave the Tritons the lead once again though, as he breezed to a 6-0, 6-1 win at sixth singles.

Again, the Eagles were able to tie the score, as Sahm Irvine fell to Alexei Prokopchuk, 6-0, 6-3.

Sreeganesh Manoharan gave the Tritons their third point of the afternoon at No. 4 singles. After battling to capture set one 7-5, Manoharan cruised to a 6-1 win in set two.

Cody Duong clinched it for UC San Diego at fifth singles. Duong picked up the victory, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 to secure UC San Diego's third-straight win.

COACH'S THOUGHTS
"One of the toughest things to do in sports is to follow up after an emotional win," said Head Coach Timmer Willing. "Biola is talented and getting better each year, and they came out ready to compete. I have a lot of respect for them and they pushed us as far as we possibly could go. The competition the entire match with both teams was high-level and it is a big sigh of relief at the end.

"Cody came up big to clinch, especially with Zach and Neil out with ankle injuries and the other four members home with the flu. Facing all obstacles without excuses was the key to this weekend."
