SAN DIEGO – The University of California San Diego women's tennis team picked up its third win in its last four matches as the Tritons earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory at Point Loma on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Tritons won the doubles point thanks to victories from the No. 2 tandem of sophomore
Anu Bhadada and freshman
Anjni Agrawal and a win at No. 3 from senior captain
Chloe Wight and freshman
Julianna Sabile. Both doubles wins were by a 6-4 score. At No. 1 doubles, senior captain
Becky Chou and freshman
Rachel Wagner led 5-4 and were up 40-15 at match point when play was halted as UC San Diego had clinched the doubles point.

In singles play, the Sea Lions knotted the score at 1-1 thanks to a win at No. 4 singles. The Tritons regained the lead thanks to Wagner's 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles. Sabile picked up a victory at No. 6 singles, 7-5, 6-3 to make the score 3-1 in favor of the visitors. UC San Diego clinched the match when senior captain
Valeria Corral won 0-6, 6-4, 7-5 at No. 3.

UC San Diego will finally head home to Northview Tennis Courts for a pair of matches next week. The Tritons will host Biola on March 3 and Ball State on March 4. Those will be the Tritons' first home matches of the season.
