Graduate student goalkeeper Bennett Bugelli led No. 9 UC San Diego to a solid 2-2 start to the season this past week. In the Tritons’ first game against No. 23 Wagner, she finished with 12 saves, which moved her from ninth to fifth all-time in the category in UCSD women's water polo history. Bugelli was also credited by head coach Brad Kreutzkamp as being integral to the team's two wins, as the Tritons held opponents to single-digits in three of the four matches they played this weekend, with all matches played against top-25 opponents.
