The UC San Diego men's basketball 2026-27 Big West conference schedule was announced Wednesday by the conference office. With the expansion of The Big West to 12 teams, each conference member will play the other 11 teams twice over 22 dates. The 22-game round-robin schedule will see each team play a home-and-home series between Dec. 3 and March 6.   The Tritons will begin their final season as a member of The Big West on Dec. 3 when they host newcomer California Baptist at LionTree Arena. Growing up just north of La Jolla in Carlsbad, California, Elise Nishimura developed an appreciation for the environment long before she arrived at UC San Diego. Now a junior Environmental Systems major in Marshall college and member of the UC San Diego softball team, Nishimura has discovered a unique way to unite her academic interests with her athletic career. Chloe Braun became a French Elite National Champion after placing first in the 100-meter breaststroke in St. Etienne, France. Both UC San Diego men's and women's swimming teams have been recognized as spring CSCAA Scholar All-America teams, as announced by the CSCAA Wednesday. The Tritons are part of 714 teams from 481 institutions across all levels of collegiate competition. Teams must achieve a GPA of 3.00 or higher to earn Scholar All-America recognition. On the women's side the Tritons boasted a 3.66. UC San Diego women's soccer head coach Kristin Jones '04 has announced the addition of eight newcomers who will join the Tritons' roster for the 2026 season: five transfers and three first-year scholar-athletes. Cadee Borg (Pepperdine), Alissey Fang (UC Irvine), Natalie Oca (LMU), Kiki Vostermans (Cal Poly), and Lauren Zamora (Sarah Lawrence College) will transfer to UC San Diego. First-year Tritons include Maddie Neier, Regan Ramirez, and Olivia Schiel. "We look forward to welcoming a talented group of Tritons to our roster this fall," Jones said.
